The focus of the project is the revitalization of the interior and exterior of an important national cultural monument in the form of construction and restoration work.
The total eligible expenditure is set at CZK 47 million including VAT. VAT. The city, as the owner of the castle and sponsor of the revitalization, will cover the expenditure from 90% of the subsidies from the EU's Integrated Regional Operational Program, d the city received a grant of 42 million CZK for this event
The aim of the project is to preserve the culturally and historically valuable building for future generations and to increase the range of services by opening up the buildings that have not been included in the existing tours.
By converting and modernizing selected exhibitions and terraces in the form of a baroque garden, the project will contribute to the attractiveness of the offer and, last but not least, make the building accessible to visitors during the winter months.
In addition to the interior lighting, the exterior will also be comprehensively redesigned. The current halogen lighting from the second half of the 1990s has lagged far behind its zenith in terms of performance and is quite insatiable in terms of energy consumption. This will change in the new LED lighting (consumption will decrease by 10 times) and at the same time the overall perception of the illuminated monument will be much more interesting, plastic and mysterious (the lights will be in niches on the gallery, for example).
The most complex work processes are planned for the months of May and June 2021, so the castle will currently not be open to visitors for security reasons. We assume that the lock will open from the beginning of June 2021.
