Sobotka Almarium with the restorer from Karlštejn
Karel Čapek once described Sobotka as a town of poets, teachers and shoemakers in his book Pictures from Home. The fact that Sobotka was a town of poets is still taught to children in primary school today, and visitors can learn about the fact that it was a town of shoemakers and teachers in the Sobotka Almarium.
